From an emotional standpoint, the city of Cleveland resembles the wholesale destruction after the atomic bomb was dropped. It seems to be in complete ruins.
The 33-point loss the Cleveland Cavs suffered at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, 110-77, was not the worst in NBA Finals history; the famous “Memorial Day Massacre,” where the Celtics mauled the Lakers in the 1st game of the 1985 Finals was even more horrific, 148-114.
The difference is that Magic Johnson and the Lakers rebounded from that humiliation with a vengeance and came back to win the series 4-2 over Larry Bird’s Celtics.
It is yet to be seen if the Cavs can even rebound to win a single game. The combined point differential in the first two games is the most in NBA Finals history (48) and social media had a lot to say about the Cavs prospects to win the series.
Take a look at the some of the funniest LeBron James and Cavs memes after their humiliating loss in game 2, starting with a twist from the classic film Boyz N the Hood.
