Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago and living in the projects, Pastor John Hannah encountered the typical struggles that many of his peers faced. Yet, his mother, recognizing his potential, changed his educational and social environments so that he had access to opportunities beyond their neighborhood.
This decision later paved the way for Pastor Hannah to attend Alabama State University, where his leadership abilities flourished. After graduating, he embarked on a dual path, working in Chicago’s juvenile detention center while heeding a divine call to ministry.
Pastor Hannah’s magnetic personality, coupled with his innate ability to connect with people, captured radio executives’ attention, leading to him hosting “The John Hannah Morning Show” on Inspiration 1390 AM. Today, as Senior Pastor of New Life Covenant Church SE, his commitment to philanthropy shines through the church’s five pillars: Prayer, Word, Outreach, Community Development and Worship, evident in its diverse programs and initiatives.
Renowned globally for his preaching, Pastor Hannah extends his reach across continents, spreading the gospel message far and wide. Beyond his pastoral duties, he wears many hats— author, entrepreneur, and real estate investor—yet remains anchored by his unwavering dedication to glorifying God and uplifting others, a commitment shared with his wife, Anna Hannah.
