Must read

In honor of Veterans Day, ComEd held its Market Development Initiative (MDI) graduation. The event celebrated the newest MDI graduates—many of whom are U.S. veterans and reservists—as they take the next step toward careers in the growing energy efficiency industry. Since 2024, the program has helped more than 130 participants launch new career paths supporting local families and businesses.

Among this year’s graduates were:
• Andre Maberry – A U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 2019–2023 as a Fuels Distribution specialist, managing and supplying fuels and cryogenics to military aircraft and ground vehicles. After transitioning to civilian life and working in logistics, Andre joined ComEd’s MDI Newcomer Cohort to pursue a lasting career in the energy field.
• First Sergeant Thomas Davis – A U.S. Army veteran who enlisted at 17 and served over two decades in multiple roles—including Military Police Officer and Field Artillery Cannon Crew Member—with deployments in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His leadership and service experiences now guide his next chapter in the clean energy workforce.
