Four men charged in 10 year old’s death

Four men with gang ties were charged Wednesday with the Labor Day shooting death of 10-year-old Nequiel “Nee-Nee” Fowler in a South Chicago neighborhood.

Four men with gang ties were charged Wednesday with the Labor Day shooting death of 10-year-old Nequiel "Nee-Nee" Fowler in a South Chicago neighborhood. Antoine Lacy, 25, of Sauk Village; Joey Chico, 23, of the 11400 block of South Champlain Avenue; Luis Pena, 20, of the 10800 block of South Avenue B and Raymond Jones, 18, of the 8700 block of South Escanaba Avenue face first-degree murder and attempted murder charges for their roles in the fatal shooting, police said. The would-be fourth grader was caught in gang crossfire Monday afternoon as she stopped in the 8700 block of South Exchange Avenue, where she lived, to tie her blind, younger sister’s shoes.
