Four South Side teens were charged for their role in the beating death of 17-year-old Shaun Bowens.

Bowens, a student at Gage Park High School, and his friends were on their way to another friends home near 75th Street and Michigan Avenue on Oct. 5 when witnesses said Jakari Glass, Terron Griffin, Deshawn Carter and Tariq Anderson beat him with a brick, their hands and feet, police said.

The boy died two days later.

All four of the teens charged live near where the incident occurred.

Glass, 17, is of the 7400 block of South Indiana Avenue; Griffin, 17, is of the 7500 block of South Eberhart Avenue; Carter, 17, is of the 7600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue and Anderson, 18, is of the 7600 block of South Rhodes Avenue.
