CHICAGO (AP) – The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who shot a bank employee during a robbery at a suburban Chicago bank.
The reward, announced Thursday in Chicago, seeks information on the armed man who entered a First Midwest Bank in Bolingbrook last week.
FBI officials say the suspect was brandishing a handgun when he walked up to a teller and announced the robbery. During the course of the crime, the suspect shot a female bank employee in the arm.
The suspect got away after obtaining an undetermined amount of cash. The shooting victim was taken to a nearby hospital where she was treated and eventually released.
The FBI is asking for anyone with information to call the FBI or Bolingbrook police.
