A family is urgently searching for a Broadway dancer who went missing in Columbia, South Carolina, ABC News reports.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, 28-year-old Zelig Williams was last seen leaving the home he shares with his mom on October 3.

Williams’ family said one of his friends in New York City received an SOS phone alert on October 3 indicating that the 28-year-old was in a car crash.

Williams was spotted driving near Congaree National Park, which is about 17 miles from Columbia, according to authorities. His car was later found in a parking lot near the park with no signs of a crash.

“We searched the area near where the car was found,” Williams’ cousin, Mieoki Corbett Jacobs, told ABC News, noting that authorities and community members helped the family walk the nearby trails and search for him with ATVs and drones.

Williams has performed in productions of “Hamilton,” “MJ the Musical” and Hugh Jackman’s 2019 tour of “The Man. The Music. The Show.”

Jackman addressed Williams’ disappearance in a social media post, writing “We love you and are praying for your safe return.”

Williams’ mother, Kathy, said her two daughters died in an accident years ago, and her son is the only child she has left.

“He really danced because of them,” she added. “He loved dance because he said he feels his sisters near him.”

“It’s just me and him. So I want him home,” the mother added.

The sheriff’s office urges anyone with information to call them at 803-576-3000 or contact Crime Stoppers at crimesc.com.
