Thursday, November 30th
Harold Washington Cultural Center
Event: To honor Chicago’s “best and brightest” women, who are rising leaders in their respective fields. The event lasts from 6p-9p, and will be held at the historic Harold Washington Cultural Center in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville Community.
“YWPL” was formed by Community Leader and League President Cheresa L. Purnell in an effort to provide a glimpse  into a network of young professional women, who support the holistic development of future leaders through the conduits of leadership, service and philanthropy.
The occupations of some of the new and former League Classes include (but are not limited to) medicine, digital marketing, journalism, mentorship, education, the arts, and much more. Funds that are raised via ticket purchases, and donated by sponsors, are funneled into the Non For Profit Organization Demoiselle 2 Femme for college scholarships and care packages, which supports D2F’s mission of being committed to empowering girls to transition into successful women.
