ESPN Fires Hugh Douglas After Calling Michael Smith ‘House N*gger’?

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive and ESPN’s “Numbers Never Lie” contributor Hugh Douglas (pictured left) was reportedly fired by the sports organization on Tuesday due to an alleged confrontation with the show’s host, Michael Smith (pictured), which led to the spewing of racially charged labels and threats of physical violence, according to TMZ.

The alleged incident between Douglas and Smith reportedly took place earlier this month at an Orlando club, after Douglas reportedly became drunk and began behaving in a disorderly manner. During the fracas, Douglas was said to have threatened to beat up Smith three times. He then allegedly attempted to climb on to a stage, where a DJ was spinning, and allegedly called Douglas an “Uncle Tom” and a “House n*gger” when he allegedly did not help him on to the platform.

Both Douglas and Smith were in Orlando to attend the National Association of Black Journalists
