Stephanie Coleman-Alderman of the 16tth Ward announced the Inaugural Englewood Music Fest. Held in conjunction with the 5th year anniversary of the Englewood Square Mall. The Greater Englewood Community Development Corporation (GECDC) is the fiscal agent and partnering 501c3 for the event. Collectively they will celebrate “Englewood Excellence” — its past, present. and future. The event will feature live music, local vendors, back-to-school programming and prizes, e-game tournament, and more!

“I’m grateful to Ms. Johnson and the other performers who are returning to their roots to bring joy, laughter and peace to the thousands expected in attendance. Englewood is the very fiber of Chicago that produces talent that can be viewed and heard across the nation. We are clearly ENGLEWOOD PROUD!!”

The day-long event will be free to the public and start at Noon on Halsted near 63rd Street. It will feature local and nationally renowned musical artists, food, retail and service vendors, health awareness and screenings, school supplies, youth activities and a senior pavilion. We are expecting approximately 2,500 people to attend in person.
