A 24-year-old man was gunned down Friday night in the 7100 block of South Washtenaw Avenue after two men opened fire, striking him in the back, police said. No arrests have been made. Early Saturday morning, a man survived a shot in the head during what police believe was a drive-by shooting in the 300 block of East 107th Street. No arrests have been made. A few hours later, at about 3:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man was fatally shot during an alleged sell of a handgun in the 10500 block of South Wabash Avenue. When the buyer attempted to pay, the seller brandished another firearm. A fight ensued and multiple shots were fired, police said. The seller died of a gunshot wound to the chest, the buyer was shot in the foot. Charges are pending. On Sunday afternoon, a man was shot in the knee after two people tried to sell marijuana to him in the 6900 block of South Western Avenue. As he walked away, he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, police said. Also on Sunday, a man walking in the 11000 block of South Indiana Avenue heard shots and later realized he was shot in the leg, police said. No arrests have been made. On Monday, a man was shot in the back while walking in the 6500 block of South Drexel Avenue, and a man survived a shot in the head and leg in the 500 block of North Kedzie Avenue, police said.
