Ramona James

Dr. Ramona E. James, Ed.D. was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. She received her early education from Chicago Public Schools and attended Kenwood Academy. Dr. James has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work from Loyola and Clark Atlanta Universities and an earned doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University.

Dr. James has worked in non-profit organizations and higher education for nearly 30 years. She is adjunct faculty and a faculty mentor at Purdue University Global. She owns Accents Events and Consulting, which provides event coordination and rentals, business consultation, grant writing, and securing 501c3 designations. Her community reach includes partnerships with other academic institutions of higher learning, various health profession entities, community organizations, and political officials.

She has been a member of NCNW Chicago Central for ten years and has held various leadership positions in the section. She is actively involved in many organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Top Ladies of Distinction, First Corinthians MBC, and other organizations.
