Joe Biden Presidential Award Winner – Dr. Delece’s 28th year leadership lies in her ability to uniquely serve needy youth; creating multi-programs for the prioritization of anti-violence, abuse and more around Chicagoland through her grass-root organization called Kidz Korna. Other components include Kidz Korna tv show which builds family connections that started in 1994. She empowers communities through giving; over 1 million in donations distributed and over 60 organizations helped. 79th and 80th and Ashland ave is now named Kidz Korna Way for the program’s impact to the city.
Delece also empowers women and girls with the annual Queens Awards Ceremony and Princesses in training workshops along with hosting senior/youth intergenerational mentoring projects called New 50. Recently Delece was licensed and ordained in ministry with a Doctorate in Theology. She’s also an Author and Entrepreneur, having a background in Show Business, worked with Oprah Winfrey, the Late Richard Pryor and more. Delece is a mother, grandmother and wife of the Celebrity DJ and co-creator of House Music, Farley Jackmaster Funk, also assisting him with his enterprise.
