April Morgan is the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Board, the governing arm of the second largest transit agency in the United States. As Chief of Staff, April advises the Chairman and the Board on policies that impact agency operations.
With 15 years of legal and policy experience, April is known as a trusted leader and advisor who helps organizations maximize their impact.
Prior to her current role, April was lead counsel for CTA’s diversity and workforce development programs. She’s previously served as counsel for the Illinois General Assembly and the Chicago Board of Education.
A founding member and current President of the Associate Board of the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, April believes in civic engagement and giving back. April volunteers as a Girl Scout troop leader, Street Law instructor, speech judge, and serves in ministry at her church.
April received her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law and her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Knox College.
