GLENWOOD, Ill. — The driver of an empty school bus led police on a chase, ramming cars before stopping in the yard of a house in Chicago suburb of Glenwood. Glenwood Mayor Kerry Durkin says details are sketchy, but he’s been told it was the driver of the bus who was supposed to pick up children who led police on the chase. Durkin says that during the chase that originated in a neighboring community, the bus rammed several cars and perhaps even a police car. He says he doesn’t have any details about injuries but that three ambulances were called to the scene. There were reports of shots fired, but Durkin couldn’t confirm that. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
