This year marks the 40th anniversary of God First Ministries. Dr. Harris serves under a decree from God to pray for leaders and feed those who are disadvantaged. She has fed thousands of people over the past 40 years, and has given more than $2 million to support the community and provide scholarships to students and school programs throughout the city.

“We are excited to be able to come together with people who love our city,” said Dr. Harris. “ We will fellowship and pray for our leaders, communities, families and particularly our vulnerable youth; all by recognizing those who have made good outcomes possible for the betterment of Chicago.”

Among the many highlights of this event, this year’s breakfast promises to be invigorating. The main highlight of the breakfast will be the powerful in-time message given by Chicago’s very own, Dr. Mildred C. Harris. In addition, political, community and faith leaders will be honored for their leadership and achievements. The Praise Dancers from Christ Temple of Faith Church in Maryville, IN will perform and praise music will be provided by Power House.
