The Museum of Science and Industry, 57th Street and South Lake Shore Dr. continues “Black Creativity 2010” consisting of visual and performing artist through Sunday. Artwork from Dr. Margaret T. Burroughs Gallery is on view at the South Shore Cultural Center at 7059 S. Shore Dr. The 4th Annual Journey to Empowerment that consists of a photographic exhibit from the historic pages of the Chicago Defender honoring the evolution of Blacks in sports, African American culture and entertainment  is on display at the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. Shore Drive. The R. Nathaniel Dett Club of Music and Allied Arts presents its Black History Program in dedication of Morris T. Dalton Sunday at 4 p.m. at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 3801 S. Wabash Ave. Artists performing include The Classic Act Choral Ensemble, Ragina Bunton, soprano; James Murray, saxophone; Curtis Boyd, baritone; Charles H. Wagner, tenor; Clancy Johnson, baritone; Charles J. Smith, piano; St. Thomas Praise Dancers; Mittie Cowan, soprano; Sabrina Dianne Smith, dramatist; Phyllis Calderon, violin; Glenn Klipp, piano; and Shirley Savage, dramatic speaker. Swirl Vip Lounge presents the “Ladies Champagne Boutique” at 111 W. Hubbard Ave. featuring music by John Young & John Styles beginning at 10 p.m. Redmood presents The Cabinet at the Redmoon Central, 1463 W. Hubbard St. Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. tickets are: Thursdays, $15; Fridays, $20; Saturdays, $25; and Sundays, $20. Live blues every Tuesday featuring the Sir Walter Scott and the Mighty World Band with Shorty Mack at 914 East 79th St. Showtime begins at 9 p.m. featuring special guests Sherman “Moody” Thomas Mc.
