Dr. Algean Garner II is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the city of Chicago. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health from Shaw University and his Doctoral Degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. His focus is the treatment of mood disorders (depression, anxiety), stress management, grief and loss, intimate partner violence, and trauma. He also specializes in marriage and couples therapy, family therapy, parent-child conflict, and the treatment of childhood behavioral disorders. He works with the underserved to strengthen mental health resilience and build stronger communities.
Dr. Garner holds memberships with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and the American Psychological Association. He serves as a board member for WINGS Program Inc., and I am That Woman Movement. Additionally, he is a member of I Am A Gentlemen, serving as a photographer and mentor. Dr. Garner enjoys cooking, photography, motorsports, and listening to jazz outside of his professional work.
