Dr. Aginah M. Muhammad

Dr. Aginah M. Muhammad, a transformative leader with nearly 25 years of experience in education, currently serves as Assistant Vice Provost at the University of Illinois Chicago. Committed to enhancing student success, she champions innovative initiatives and fosters an environment for academic and personal growth.

Actively involved in the community, Dr. Muhammad is President of the Homewood-Flossmoor Parent Association, founding board member of the Democratic Women of the Southland Region, member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Chicago Metropolitan Chapter, and lifetime member of her late father’s organization, the Coalition for the Remembrance of Elijah Muhammad. A Chicago native, Dr. Muhammad earned a PhD from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and MEd and BA from the University of Illinois Chicago. Motherhood with Power & Grace, and host of LITE It Up Podcast, emphasizing women’s leadership, transformation, and empowerment.
