Earlier this month, at a NY Knicks game, 50 Cent confronted Steve Stoute about the comments he made about him not being at his best anymore!
“50 hasn’t had a hit in a really long time,” Stoute told Angie Martinez during an interview. “He has not made anything musically that has changed anything in a really long time. I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens.”
50 didn’t take too kindly to what Stoute said. But no one really knows what was said between the two men, but whatever it was, it didn’t look like it was said nicely. Or was it…
“I said, ‘That wasn’t very nice of you, Steve. To say what you said wasn’t really nice, and I think you should apologize,’” he said.
But 50 quickly revealed that isn’t exactly how it was said with a smile during a interview with MTV News.
“I said it a little different.”
But their history runs much longer than Stoute critiquing 50′s career as of late.
“Me and Steve had an opportunity to meet with each other, he was running Interscope,” 50 recalled of a conversation from 2002. “He had already stopped being associated to Columbia Records. When I tried to play him [my] music, he said ‘I already know what you can do.’”
He admitted his life would’ve been different if he had listened to Stoute who urged him NOT to sign with Eminem.
“‘Look, don’t do the deal with the white boy. Look, yo sh*t is serious,’” 50 recalls Stoute saying. “At the time, Em was doing [‘Purple Pills’ with D12], so [Steve’s] thinking [Eminem’s] a joke.”
It’s safe to say 50 is glad he didn’t listen to Stoute — calling Em his favorite white boy.
And it’s safe to say 50 is still demanding that apology from Stoute.
