Diannia Jemison is a dedicated and accomplished educator with over 21 years of experience, holding a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, a Masters in Education, and an Endorsement in Gifted Education. Motivated by personal experiences, she pursued higher education to address educational disparities in Chicago’s neighborhoods, striving to ensure equal opportunities for African American and Latinx children.

Diannia’s commitment to academic excellence is evident through her role as a first-grade teacher at Keller Regional Gifted Center, contributing significantly to the school consistently ranking among the top in Illinois. Beyond the classroom, she actively tutors children in disadvantaged settings and advocates for diverse, real-world applicative strategies to prepare students for 21st-century learning. Diannia’s leadership extends to her roles on the Local School Council and the Instructional Leadership Team, reflecting her dedication to equity and the success of all students. She has presented at national conferences, demonstrating her expertise in safe practices and early literacy curriculum. Diannia’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence and equity makes her a respected figure within the school community.
