Delta Sigma Theta International Film Festival presents ‘Clothed in Strength and Dignity’

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated inpartnership with the Fulton County Arts and Culture Southwest Arts Centerwill present their international film festival “Clothed in Strength andDignity” on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 7:00pm – 9:00 pm.

Tickets for theevent are $20.00, and is open to the public. The international film festival will present two films. “Pray the Devil Back to Hell” chronicles the remarkable story of the courageous Liberian women who came together to end a bloody civil war and bring peace to their shattered country.  A story of sacrifice, unity and transcendence, thisfilm honors the strength and perseverance of the women of Liberia. Inspiring, uplifting, and most of all motivating, it is a compelling testimony of how grassroots activism can alter the history of nations.

“The Five Most Dangerous Countries in the World for Women” is a documentary film describing the atrocities of genocide against women and children in the countries of Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo,Pakistan, India and Somalia. The film festival will benefit students atthe sorority’s elementary school in Cherette, Haiti.
