BALTIMORE — Attorneys say a GPS ankle bracelet worn by a teenager accused of shooting a 5-year-old girl in Baltimore provides an alibi for the teen. The attorneys say they plan to call the vendor for the state juvenile services’ GPS monitoring system as a defense witness. They also say police ignored statements from at least three witnesses, including a 17-year-old shot in the incident, identifying a different person as the shooter. In a motion filed this week, attorneys say records from vendor iSECUREtrac show that Lamont Davis violated the monitoring program after the shooting and representatives of the company will testify that Davis was a half-mile away when the shooting occurred. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press.
