I’m a 26-year-old married woman with a 9-month-old son. My husband and I have been together for less than two years now, and I am at my wit’s end. We are headed for divorce court because I recently found out that he never really loved me, and it is truly tearing me up inside. We constantly fight and bicker over everything, and I just can’t take it anymore. One night he actually told me that the only reason why he married me was because he and his boy had a $50 bet on who would get me in bed first. Well he won, and I got pregnant in the process. Chat Daddy, I’ve never been so hurt in all my life. I’m really thinking about letting it all go. Please help.

How unfortunate that you are experiencing this in your relationship. First of all, I must say that I am appalled at the statement that your husband has made to you because not only was it inappropriate, it was very disrespectful. He definitely sounds like someone who is not into you, the marriage or the household that the two of you are trying to build. I would suggest that the two of you seek marriage counseling if you are truly interested in saving your marriage, but I would also like for you to go individually, just for yourself, in order to receive the clarity and understanding about what went wrong with this relationship. From this point on, you need to start your day with prayer because you will need the strength to heal from this ordeal. No matter what the outcome, I want you to emerge from this as a stronger and even more self-sufficient woman and a loving mother. Hold your head up and be encouraged.
