Congresswoman Robin Kelly, Co-Chair, Congressional Caucus on Black Women and Girls and Dorrie McWhorter, presented this year’s CCBWG’s symposium in recognition of Black Women’s Equal Pay Day. The symposium, Power Moves: Strategies for Success, focused on empowering black women to achieve pay equity, visibility and inclusion in the workplace. It featured a panel discussion and breakout sessions. Dynamic women professionals in finance, labor, marketing and human resources explored common obstacles facing black women in the workplace and how best to overcome them. The event was held at Chicago State University, Breakey Theatre.
