The Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s 44th Annual Evening with Friends Awards Gala at the Knickerbocker Hotel on Friday, October 19. The Cosmopolitan Chamber was founded in 1933 to promote the development of a broader economic base through the creation and strengthening of new businesses and the expansion of under-utilized business enterprises.
Honorees for the 2012 Gala were Donna Thompson of Access Community Health Network (ACCESS), Marco Tasso of Italy’s Lottomatica Group, McDonald’s franchise owner Blanton T. Canady, Nathaniel Simpson and Carmen Simpson-Clark, owners of The Rink Chicago, Allan R. Mourillon, president of MORCOM, N.V, Inc. and Illinois Secretary of Transportation Ann Schneider.
