Chicago police say citizens should beware of a group of robbers looking to attack victims and steal wallets and cell phones after dark in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Chicago Police Sgt. Timothy Kusinski said at a Sunday news conference that authorities think suspects are targeting with surprise attacks. So far there have been four incidents, two last Thursday and two on Saturday. Police say the attackers haven’t used weapons, but have hit victims with their fists hard enough to cause facial fractures and head and throat injuries. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press.
