CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say officers performing a raid on a home found more than $5 million in cash and 10 kilograms of heroin valued at $1.5 million.

Chicago police narcotic commander Jim O’Grady said Monday that the raid was on a house in the city’s Kelvyn Park neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side. O’Grady says it’s the department largest heroin seizure of the year.

Officers found a large amount of drugs in the home’s garage. Bundles of cash wrapped in heat-sealed plastic bags and secured with gray duct tape also were located. Bundles of cash also were found throughout the home.

Police say their investigation continues and no charges have been filed.
