Chicago Elected School Board Candidates Forum to Spotlight Districts 6, 9, and 10

The upcoming Chicago Elected School Board Candidates Forum, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, will spotlight districts 6, 9 and 10, which include areas on the southeast and southwest sides of Chicago.

The event is the second in a series of three forums aimed at engaging the community and providing a platform for candidates to discuss their vision for the city’s education system. Hosted at the AKArama Foundation, Inc. Community Service Center at 6220 S. Ingleside Ave., the forum runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

This initiative, presented by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. – Xi Lambda Chapter, AKArama Foundation Inc., the Coalition of African American Leaders (COAL), and the NAACP Chicago South Side and West Side branches, is designed to empower residents with the information they need to make informed choices in the upcoming elections.

The final forum will focus on the West Side districts, furthering the commitment to equitable representation and community engagement in Chicago’s educational landscape.
