A South Side church has offered a $5,000 reward for information provided to authorities that leads to the arrest of a gunman accused of wounding two teenagers near the church. St. Sabina Roman Catholic Church’s pastor, the Rev. Michael Pfleger (FLAY’-ger), said Monday the church would offer the reward. Two teenage boys were wounded in a drive-by shooting on July 17 as they left a church-sponsored event at a nearby elementary school gym. Pfleger is a longtime activist against gang violence. He says the church "must find the shooter and we must stop future shooting from occurring." Pfleger previously said the church received phone calls with leads in the shootings. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
