Chicago Business Owners Help Kentucky Tornado Victims

On December 10, 2021, a violent tornado moved across Western Kentucky, producing severe to catastrophic damage in numerous towns, including Mayfield, Benton, Dawson Springs, and Bremen. Many lives were affected and displaced during this tragic event with many fatalities.
Tornado Chicago DefenderBlack Business Owners in the Chicago area several of who have Kentucky roots and family in the region are coming together to collect items in need from the community.  Volunteers will deliver the items to provide much-needed continued support.
Jermone Bass and Kei Gii owners of Luxe B Studio are proud to lend their support to such a worthy cause.  “When we can support others who are in need we step up to do what we can no matter how big or small.” expresses Kei Gii.
Requested donated items are new or gently used clothing for children and adults, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, linen, small household items, and hygiene products.  People, businesses, and organizations can deliver items to Luxe B Studio located at 358 E. 47th St, Chicago, IL on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 8 am – 8 pm.  Items will go to the Second Christian Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY, and delivered on Wednesday, January 5.
