Although this summer has been one of the coolest in history, gospel music continues to be hotter than ever! The spotlight was shining bright on Chicago at the Gospel Music Workshop of America a few weeks ago in Cincinnati.
Thousands were in attendance and blessed by the sounds of artists from across the globe. Folk are still talking about Verity recording artist Donald Lawrence and Company’s electrifying performance as he ministered gospel hits past and present, including "Back to Eden" and "Let the Word Do the Work" from his CD "The Law of Confession Part I."
Lawrence’s "Back to Eden" continues to fluctuate between the top three spots on Billboard for the past 30 weeks. "Let the Word Do the Work" is the hot new single hitting the airwaves with a bang and is a favorite for all ages. Also among Chicago’s brightest at GMWA was Malcolm Williams and Great Faith with their recent release, "In Your Glory!" Williams has been considered the next thing in choir music for the church today.
