Airlines have canceled more than 150 flights at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport ahead of a winter storm expected to produce a mix of rain and snow.

Forecasters expect the storm to leave behind three to six inches of snow. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday for the Chicago area.

The Chicago Department of Aviation is advising travelers to check their airline’s website for flight status.

Several local schools are dismissing students early.
