Operation Warm and the Chicago Housing Authority will utilize a special Web site – www.chayouth.org – to distribute over 5,000 coats in preparation for what is expected to be another cold Chicago winter.

Public Housing and HCV voucher participants interested in obtaining a coat must first register at www.chayouth.org. Coats are requested on a first-come-first-served basis and are available to children on leases who were born after Jan. 1, 1995. The Web site, which helps to ensure that coats are requested only by CHA residents, will remain available until all of the coats are gone.

Once registered, residents will receive a confirmation letter approximately two weeks prior to the distribution, informing them of their specific pick-up time. For more information, please go to www.chayouth.org.
