Carl Jones, Jr., leads the External and Government Affairs team for Comcast’s Greater Chicago Region. He directs local government affairs, strategic partnerships with state, county, and local intergovernmental associations, community investment activities, and advancing digital equity in Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan.

Prior to joining Comcast he was a political appointee and an attorney in private practice. Carl has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star and one of the nation’s media and technology leaders, being named to the Cable Fax Diversity List, the Lawyers of Color’s Top Lobbyists & Influencers List, and the Chicago Defender Men of Excellence.

Carl is very active in Chicago’s civic community. He is a current board member of The Chicago Public Library Foundation, a member of the Chicagoland Chamber PAC Committee and Corporate Coalition, and a former Board member of Lambda Legal.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Africana Studies from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY; Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, GA; and LL.M. in Advocacy from Temple University Philadelphia.
