CHICAGO (AP) _ Officials with Chicago Public Schools will close a South Side high school on Monday because of "security concerns" after an armed break-in on campus over the weekend.
A statement from CPS says two male teenagers used a gun to break into DuSable High School on Sunday.
Authorities arrested the teenagers. But they didn’t recover the weapon which was seen on surveillance video.
Since the weapon wasn’t located, officials say some classes are canceled and others will be held at different locations. The campus houses several different schools.
Officials say the teens aren’t students at the school and there was "minor damage" to the building.
Chicago police spokeswoman Amina Greer says officers are investigating. She did not immediately have further details.
