Days after a popular Instagram influencer was found dead near her burning car in Georgia, authorities in Louisiana have arrested her boyfriend in connection to her murder. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office said they charged 21-year-old Eugene Louis-Jocques for allegedly killing 22-year-old Beauty Katera, who went by Beauty Couch online, per PEOPLE.

The Cobb County Police Department said they responded to reports of a car engulfed in flames in Austell, Georgia, which is near Atlanta, on August 25. Officials found a body “matched the description of Beauty Couch” in a wooded area near the burning vehicle, suspecting foul play early on in the investigation.

On August 27, the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force reached out to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office about a suspect in a murder investigation. After surveilling areas the alleged killer was known to visit often, deputies arrested Louis-Jocques for murder, arson, and aggravated assault in Katera’s death.

The influencer was beloved online for dancing on roller skates, popping moves, and showing off her fashion.

Many fans and onlookers flooded Katera’s social media pages with condolences. Her devastated family also wants answers for why anybody would do this to her.

“She was a sweet girl, she never bothered nobody,” Kim Couch, her mother, told WSB-TV. “They took a part of my heart. I want them to pay for what they did to my baby.”

Some family members have been skeptical of Louis-Jocques while he and Katera were dating.

I would like to know what she could have possibly done so bad,” Lelia Brown, Couch’s sister, told Atlanta News First. “The guy that was buying her flowers and taking her out and making her smile at one point. How did it get here? I just can’t believe this.”

Louis-Jocques was booked into St. Tammany Parish Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Georgia. At the time of publication, it’s unclear if he retained an attorney.
