DUPO, Ill. — A 13-year-old boy killed in a weekend accident involving a dump truck’s load of gravel is being remembered as a seventh-grader who enjoyed skateboarding, bike riding and basketball. St. Clair County investigators say Ryan Hennemann of Cahokia died Saturday. Authorities say the truck’s driver had pulled over near Dupo to adjust the load and accepted the boy’s offer to help. Ryan was killed when the truck’s hydraulic system apparently malfunctioned and caused the truck bed to slip onto the boy. The truck’s driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license, and there’s an out-of-state warrant for his arrest. His name hasn’t been released. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press.
