A New Jersey blogger accused of a death threat against three federal appeals judges is making a new attempt to get out of jail. Hal Turner is due to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Martin Ashman on Monday in hopes of release on bond. The 47-year-old Turner said on his blog the three judges deserve to be killed over their ruling on a lawsuit challenging Chicago and suburban Oak Park ordinances banning handguns. The judges allowed the ordinances to stand, saying the issues were a matter for the U.S. Supreme Court.
