Questions surround the disappearance of Taylor Casey, a Chicago woman who went missing during a yoga retreat in the Bahamas, per NBC Chicago.

Casey, 41, was last seen on Paradise Island in Nassau on June 19. Casey’s family said she was attending the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat when she went missing.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force issued a missing persons poster on June 21.

“We are deeply concerned for Taylor’s safety and well-being,” Casey’s mother, Colette Seymore, said in a statement posted on the “Find Taylor Casey” Facebook page. “We love Taylor and want her home.”

“I believe Taylor is in danger because she was eager to share her yoga retreat experience with others upon her return,” Seymore continued. “Taylor would never disappear like this.”

According to the statement, Seymore is set to travel to Paradise Island and Nassau to work with local authorities.

Casey’s disappearance comes after the U.S. issued a “Level 2” Travel Advisory for The Bahamas in January, warning travelers to “exercise increased caution in The Bahamas due to crime.”

“The majority of crime occurs on New Providence (Nassau) and Grand Bahama (Freeport) islands,” the advisory stated. “Violent crime, such as burglaries, armed robberies, and sexual assaults, occur in both tourist and non-tourist areas. Be vigilant when staying at short-term vacation rental properties where private security companies do not have a presence. ”
