Bonnie Smith Recognized for Exceptional Work in Experiential Marketing

Today, Crain’s Chicago Business released the names of its 2019 Notable Entrepreneurs, a special editorial featuring profiles of the top entrepreneurs in the Chicago area. Included among this list of esteemed, accomplished professionals is Bonnie Smith, Founder and CEO of Studio B Entertainment – a diversity-driven, women-owned brand agency that specializes in producing consumer, influencer and customer experiences for women, by women.

Smith is an established expert in the marketing and media industry with a unique combination of 17+ years’ experience as a brand and agency marketer.  She has been recognized as a revenue-driving, brand-building and results-oriented marketing professional and strategic partner, creating brand experiences for top brands such as Pampers, COVERGIRL, P&G’s My Black is Beautiful, Always, Kraft, Bank of America, L’Oreal Paris, SoftSheen-Carson and top media brands including ESSENCE, PEOPLE en Español and Entertainment Weekly magazine.

Since founding Studio B Entertainment in 2014, Smith has established an average yearly growth rate of 20 percent and the total number of accounts held by the business grew 50 percent year over year within the past four years. This year, the company was the only woman-owned and black-woman owned agency to design and produce seven experiences, representing 10 brands, at the 25th Anniversary of Essence Festival, the largest entertainment, cultural and empowerment festival in the U.S. Brands included My Black Is Beautiful, Olay, Head & Shoulders Royal Oils, Gold Series from Pantene, Old Spice, Aveeno, Aussie, Dove, Always Discreet and Bevel.
