BJ the Chicago Kid & Keith Harris Partner with City with New Song Celebrating Vaccinated Teens

The City of Chicago launched a new song and music video: “I’m One of One” is an anthem for Chicago, focused on the uniqueness and optimism of our youth and their dreams for the future. The song was co-written and produced by Chicago native Keith Harris, a Grammy-award winning producer, and features Chicago native and Grammy-nominated singer, BJ the Chicago Kid as well as a chorus of Chicago’s vaccinated teens.

Filmed in Chicago, the video and song are an extension of The Face Forward Project, the City’s COVID-19 initiative that encourages Chicago teens to get vaccinated in order to protect their future. The music video features vaccinated Chicago youth explaining why they got vaccinated, how they feel safer after vaccination, and their hopes for the future, as well as portraits from the project.

The photographs were taken by famed Chicago photographer Sandro Miller, in a custom-made mobile studio that traveled across the city, especially covering neighborhoods with low vaccination rates. Teens who missed the opportunity to have their portrait taken can use a new Snapchat lens to create their own portrait.
