The Big Shoulders Fund recently launched its new WELCOME Scholarship, which will make attending schools in the Big Shoulders Fund network more accessible than ever. WELCOME will fund roughly 400 total scholarships, an investment of $1.5 million over two years. This is the largest amount of tuition support that Big Shoulders Fund has ever offered in a summer incentive program.
With the WELCOME Scholarship, newly enrolled families will pay only $2,000 per year in tuition per child. This two-year scholarship is available to students in preschool through eighth grade, with varying numbers of scholarships available per grade depending on the school.

Criteria:
- The family must demonstrate financial need, typically under 300% of the federal poverty guidelines.
- The family must be new to a school; scholars cannot have previously attended another Big Shoulders Fund school
