BET DIGITAL CELEBRATES BLACK EXCELLENCE WITH NEW ORIGINAL EDITORIAL SERIES

BET Digital celebrates Black culture with a new slate of online offerings during Black History Month across all digital and social platforms. As BET continues to honor its 40-year legacy of super-serving the black community, it forges forward with a new Black History Month slate of digital content that acknowledges the contributions made by African Americans past, present, and future.

Luci Collins cartwheeled so that Dominique Dawes could flip, and Simone Biles could float. Throughout the month of February, BET digital will take each day to honor a trilogy of Black excellence — persons who represent the past, present, and future in their field.  BET Digital will speak to the up-and-comers about the legends who came before them and seek reflection from the founding fathers and mothers about those who’ve got next. The series will also focus on the following trios: Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, and Michael B. Jordan; Q-Tip, Pharrell, and Tyler The Creator; MJ Rodriguez, Janet Mock, and Brian Michael Smith; Megan Thee Stallion, Trina, and Lil Kim; August Wilson, Suzan Lori-Parks, Dapper Dan, Patrick Kelly and Kerby Jean-Raymond, and Jeremy O. Harris; Shirley Chisolm, Condoleezza Rice, Lauren Underwood and many more.

BET will highlight 40 of the most inspiring and innovative vanguards who are redefining what it means to be unapologetically young, gifted & Black. Watch and share a clip of 11-year-old ballet dancer, Charlotte Nebres, the first Black lead in New York City Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” being interviewed by her big sister, and fellow ballerina,  Libby Nebres from BET Digital’s “Future 40 Presented by Walmart.”
