Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were the star guests at the 2015 “BET Honors” Saturday night. But there were other celebs who lit up the red carpet at the annual soiree in Washington, D.C. this past weekend.
The “BET Honors” will broadcast on February 23 on BET. The mercurial hip hop star was one of five honorees — including Phylicia Rashad, Usher, Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, the director of the National Museum of African Art, and John W. Thompson, chairman of Microsoft Corporation.
Wayne Brady was the host of the proceedings and was joined by presenters Ben Vereen, Bobby Brown and Anthony Anderson. R&B superstars Ne-Yo, Trey Songz and K. Michelle performed.
Usher was brought to tears after accepting his award from his idol Bobby Brown. Phylicia Rashad received shout outs from most everyone who took the stage, including Patti LaBelle, for being “everyone’s favorite television mom.” And, Mary J. Blige gave the final performance of the night.
