Best: John Legend’s and Common’s performance of the Oscar-winning song “Glory” riveting, but it brought tears to the eyes of many in the room, including David Oyelowo and Chris Pine. Oyelowo, who brilliantly portrayed Martin Luther King in the Academy Award-nominated Selma, for which Glory was written and produced specifically for, was so emotional, he had to be comforted by Oprah, who sat directly behind him.
