LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have released veteran defensive tackle Anthony Adams and offensive lineman Frank Omiyale.

The moves announced Thursday were hardly surprising since their roles decreased last season.

Adams went from making 16 starts in 2010 to four stars last season, his fifth year in Chicago. He spent four seasons in San Francisco before and has 329 tackles with 101/2 sacks in his career.

Omiyale started every game in 2010. He made just three starts at right tackle last season after Gabe Carimi was injured and later was replaced by Lance Louis. A seven-year veteran, Omiyale spent three seasons in Chicago after playing for Atlanta and Carolina.
