SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan will be enshrined in the Hall of Fame today — a final honor for someone who’s already won everything else. David Robinson, John Stockton, Utah coach Jerry Sloan and Rutgers women’s coach C. Vivian Stringer are the other members of the Class of 2009. But the attention is largely on Jordan, the six-time NBA champion, five-time MVP and 10-time scoring champion. Stringer has been coaching for 39 years, won 825 games and became the first coach to lead three different schools to the Final Four. To do it, she’s also overcome personal tragedies along the way. Her daughter contacted spinal meningitis the same year as her first trip to the Final Four with Cheyney State in 1982. Her husband, Bill, died of a heart attack in 1993. ______ In photo: Former Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards guard Michael Jordan takes the stage as former San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson, left, former Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan, second left, and former Utah Jazz guard John Stockton applaud during a media availability before his enshrinement in the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass., Friday morning, Sept. 11, 2009.
