Art & Fashion Icon Merge for Breast Cancer Research
On Saturday, June 18 at 5:30 pm,  emerging International Artist, originally from Zimbabwe, Africa, Kudzai B. Mutasa and The Barbara Bates Foundation merge to raise funding for  Cancer Research.
This exciting event allows you to witness  3 unique curated collections of Mutasa’s art come to life  on a “pink” runway.
The exclusive premiere is  Mutasa’s first Mutasa’s  art exhibition.  As an artist Mutasa specializes in applying mixed media to canvas using high impact, multi-layered textures, rich color and meticulous framing.
Chicago’s fashion rock star Barbara Bates is a self-taught fashion designer  from Chicago. She  has designed for celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Steve Harvey,  Linda Johnson-Rice of Johnson Publishing Company, Cheryl Burton of ABC 7 Chicago and award winning R. Kelly.
Partial proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Barbara Bates Foundation to help further breast cancer research and education for disadvantaged communities in their quest to prevent, fight and live post a diagnosis of breast cancer.
