A Chicago attorney charged with murdering a woman and her infant daughter has a history of putting his hands on women.

Fredrick Goings, 36, is charged with the Jan. 24 killing of former Chicago Bulls star Eddy Curry’s ex-girlfriend, Nova Henry, 24, and their 10-month-old daughter, Ava. Curry and Henry also have a 3-year-old son who was home on the day of the murders but was unharmed.

Curry now plays for the New York Knicks.

According to Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney John Dillion, Goings, of the 4600 block of South Drexel Boulevard, has three battery convictions from 1993, 1996 and 1998.

A Cook County circuit court judge denied Goings bail Monday at his bond hearing. He is being held at Cook County Jail.

At the hearing, held at the Criminal Courts Building at 26th Street and California Avenue, Dillion summed up what happened the night of the murders.

“Around 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 24, Goings went to Henry’s Chicago townhome, 51 W. 15th St., and was let in by Henry. Neighbors reported hearing a male voice arguing with Henry and later heard gunshots,” Dillion said. “A surveillance camera outside Henry’s home captured a Black Range Rover SUV parked outside her home on Jan. 24. And it just so happens that Mr. Goings owns a Black Range Rover.”
